The Gold Lace Nudibranch (Halgerda terramtuentis) is a spectacular marine gastropod endemic to the waters of the Hawaiian Islands. It is typically found crawling slowly over shallow rocky reefs and inside dark crevices, ledges, or caves, where it searches for its preferred food source of marine sponges. Aussehen

This nudibranch is easily identified by its firm, gelatinous, and translucent white-to-greyish body, which is highlighted by an intricate network of raised, golden-yellow ridges that form a lace-like pattern across its back. The intersections of these ridges often feature small, pointed tubercles. It possesses a pair of conspicuous, white rhinophores with black spots or lines near the tips, and a cluster of feathery, white and gold branchial gills located near the rear of its body. Adults typically reach a length of 2 to 5 centimeters, making them small but highly visible due to their bright coloration.
