Make the observatory the main visit
Use the staffed observatory as your destination. Begin with the broad view, then concentrate on a patch of open water rather than repeatedly sweeping the whole lagoon. The interpretation explains the wetland’s origin and birdlife; ask staff to show a bird through the available optics. This is a complete visit in its own right when the weather or your energy makes a walk unattractive.
Confirm the parking-to-building approach and entrance in advance. Ask whether you can use the viewing window comfortably from a seated position; do not assume the rooftop terrace shares the same access.
