Palais du roi Chêne: a small forest world
Begin beside the Maison du Parc car park and follow the signed 800 m discovery route. The woodland is presented as a palace, with sculpted inhabitants and explanatory panels. Let children choose a sculpture to investigate, then look for the real shapes and textures that inspired it. You do not need to complete a longer forest circuit to make this stop worthwhile. Take the seating opportunities as part of the visit, especially with anyone who tires easily.
The park describes a suitable surface for reduced mobility, a guidance cord along the right side and sculptures designed for touch. Benches provide regular rests. The trail carries the Tourisme et Handicap label for hearing, learning, mobility and visual disabilities; check current surface condition and your transfer from the vehicle before setting out.
