Sendero Torrijos: stream and woodland out-and-back
Start at the trail sign by the ecomuseum parking area and descend through the recreation area towards Arroyo Chaperas. The official leaflet follows the stream corridor and planted pine woodland to the end sign at a wooden footbridge, then returns the same way. Look for the contrast between the streamside broadleaves and the pines above. The technical listing gives 842 m one way; the leaflet rounds this to 0.8 km. Plan roughly 1.7 km overall. Allow 60–90 minutes including pauses, compared with the published 30-minute outward estimate.
Mixed surfaces and a descent followed by an uphill return. The leaflet’s 44 m maximum height difference is not a cumulative ascent figure. Do not assume a smooth, level route because the distance is short.
