Étang de Lers: a short shore outing
Start at the designated Étang de Lers visitor parking and read any current access signs. Reach the lake by the established visitor access, then choose a short section of shore that is comfortable for everyone. Pause for the view and return by the same way. The north bank is highlighted by the fishing federation for picnics; use an appropriate existing space rather than spreading into wet ground. Allow 45–75 minutes with stops, and turn back sooner if the surface, weather or livestock make continuing awkward.
The fishing federation describes most banks as gently sloping, but this is not a measured accessible walking route. Inspect the first section before committing with a pushchair or mobility aid. A lakeside viewpoint can be the whole visit.
