The numbered garden walk
Follow the supplied map from the entrance, taking the numbered sights in order where open. The first group includes the Putti Fountain, flower labyrinth and Victoria greenhouse; later landmarks include the chapel, chestnut, villa viewpoint, Valletta and terraces. The final part brings you towards the Belvedere and Tourniquet. Treat this as the garden’s orientation system, not a demand to cover every branch. For a first visit, choose one seasonal display and the terraces as your priorities, then spend the remaining time on the trees that catch your eye.
For a lower-effort visit, ask staff to mark a shorter out-and-back section and use the blue accessible-route arrows rather than assuming the numbered sequence suits everyone.
