San Bernabé and Alto de la Concha: a surface introduction
Allow 45–75 minutes for the open visitor area, including stops. Begin at the authorised Alto de la Concha parking/viewpoint area and use the signed visitor access towards San Bernabé. Take time to see how the rock face frames the valley. Ask staff whether the signed approach towards the Guareña sink is suitable that day; it is optional, not a reason to descend into the watercourse. Treat this as a flexible stop around the visitor area, turning back whenever it suits your group.
The descent and return climb matter more than the short-looking map distance. Stay with the part of the visitor area that suits your group; confirm a workable access plan before taking a wheelchair or pushchair down the approach.
