At Glauer Tal, buy an enclosure admission token at the centre, then choose a signed loop: the turquoise 1 km route passes the former command tower, the orange route is 1.5 km, and two longer choices are 4 km. Sandy ground makes these more work for small wheels than the Glauer Felder outside. The tower's small ground-floor display explains landscape care; its viewing point helps you scan the enclosure.
For a short birdwatching outing, go to Blankensee. The Bohlensteg is about five minutes' walk from the Ruhemannweg car park. The Ungeheuerwiesen observation tower has a separate, signed approach from the village centre, roughly ten minutes on foot. These are two viewing stops, not a continuous lakeside promenade.
For a proper half-day walk, choose the approximately 6 km Rundwanderweg Rieben. Start near the Weidelandfarm on Riebener Dorfstraße, pass pasture and mixed woodland, and stop at the Riebener Steg. The route crosses the Pfefferfließ area, where beavers have changed the water landscape, then returns beside meadows and an avenue of fruit trees. Much of the lake stays hidden behind reeds, so make the boardwalk pause count.
On another day, try Wanderweg Wurzelberg in the Jüterbog wilderness, approached from Luckenwalde. The full loop is 7.4 km, with a 5.5 km option at the dune. Unpaved, sandy paths lead to a viewpoint over a large inland dune. Walking from Luckenwalde station adds about 2.5 km each way. Stay strictly on marked paths: unexploded ammunition remains away from the cleared routes.
