Lake edge: a circuit or a shorter wander
Begin at the environmental centre beside the boating area and explore the public shoreline paths. The lake’s published perimeter is 1,370 m, which gives a useful sense of scale; your actual walking distance depends on the paths and detours you choose. Allow 35–60 minutes for a leisurely circuit with stops, or turn back sooner. Take in the water, the city-facing view and the contrast between busy terraces and quieter pauses.
Ask the centre which section offers the smoothest approach, suitable rest points and toilets for your needs. You can enjoy a stretch of the shore without completing a loop. Watch for wet surfaces and movement around the boating area; a broad park accessibility label does not verify every lakeside connection.
