The visitor center, theater, gift shop, bookstore, and restaurant are wheelchair accessible via ramps. A portion of the Big Room Trail within the cavern is wheelchair accessible with assistance, and accessible restrooms are available both above and below ground. Reserved accessible parking is available at the Bat Flight Amphitheater. The Natural Entrance Trail, King's Palace, and some caving tours are not wheelchair accessible.

Wear appropriate footwear
Trails within the cavern can be wet, slippery, and steep. Closed-toe shoes with good traction are highly recommended for safety.
Dress in layers
While the desert outside can be hot, the cavern maintains a cool 56°F (13°C), so a light jacket or long-sleeved shirt is advisable.
Bring water
Only plain water is permitted inside the cavern.
Arrive early for bat flight
The Bat Flight Program is very popular, especially in peak season. Arrive well in advance to secure a good spot in the amphitheater. Note that electronic devices are not allowed during the program to protect the bats.
